So I have a finished recorded vocal on a Dream Pop album (ethereal sounding). I would like the vocals to slightly pitch down at the end of a long drawn out note as it mixes into the reverb, creating a little bit of tension.
I did it in Sound Forge with the Pitch Bend function which visually worked out well in that I could "automate" the bend over a bar and tell it how many notes down (-2) which worked great. EXCEPT...because it was an old school pitch bend and I kept the timing/length identical...the formants got a little bit Darth Vader'ish at the end.
Is there anything that could do the same function as SF Pitch but be able to keep the formant close so it sounded more realistic. So-so in Melodyne but I can't think of a way to automate the pitch downwards in a consistent "arc" on all the vocal spots I need to do that in.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
