I’ve been looking at synths that best allow for creating repeating musical phrases that can be modulated as they play, and a few have caught my interest for a future purchase: Zebra HZ (or Zebra 3 if it comes out this year), DS Thorn, and maybe Myth. I wonder if there are others out there I’m not aware of.
Synths I already have are limited as sequencers or arpeggiators, including Massive X, Phase Plant, and Halion 7. Sometimes it’s a matter of having an arpeggiator or mseg or step-able lfo that doesn’t accurately indicate changes in semitones when modulating pitches (Massive X and Phase Plant), or the sequencer that does give semitone info is too tiny to work with comfortably (Halion 7). (I realize Myth doesn't offer a semitone sequencer, but I still like it for other reasons.) Any suggestions? I would especially like one that handles at least 32 steps and gives semitone info. Thanks!
