Hello,
I just purchased a brand new very high end Alienware laptop:
- Windows 11
- Intel Core i9 14900H
- 64.0GB Ram DDR5
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU
- Focusrite 4i4 Gen 4
I have been using Bitwig for a couple of weeks on it and everything was fine until today I noticed the issue with the DSP & CPU usage. I didn't change anything other than update to 5.2.1. I tried reverting back to 5.2 and the problem is still there. So I'm back on 5.2.1. If I adjust the buffer size it does help some but that is not an acceptable solution because my old laptop handles the same buffer size of 96 samples better than this one is currently. But when I first installed it, this new laptop was handling 96 samples easily with multiple instances of Kontakt playing simultaneously. Even when there are no VST loaded there are spikes in the DSP and an avg load of .100ms. If I just open one instance of Kontakt it sits at .250ms. I can also hear cracks and pops when I start playing. I'm using the correct Focusrite USB ASIO and I have the latest firmware and software installed.
Thank you for your help
