Ample Sound • tab reader for prog metal compositions

Hello everyone!

I’m a prog metal composer looking to upgrade the quality of my music, and I’m considering purchasing Ample Sound VSTs for both guitar and bass. However, I have a few questions about how well they might work for my setup and style.

First, I’m curious about the Tab Reader feature. I previously tried the Lite version of Ample Bass, but it seemed to only read up to the 4th fret and was compatible only with older versions of Guitar Pro. I’m aware these limitations might be due to the Lite version, which is why I’d like to hear from users of the full versions before making a purchase.

In particular, I’m interested in Ample Bass P and Ample Metal Eclipse for bass and guitar. How well does the Tab Reader perform with detailed, technique-heavy compositions, especially when it comes to prog metal? Does it handle complex techniques accurately (like tapping, slides, and bends)?

If there are any other composers who use GuitarPro and use Ample Sound plugins, I’d love to hear about your experiences.

Thanks in advance for any insights you can share!
