So this is a bit of an odd one I guess. But after 16 years working in
music tech, it has just dawned on me… I don’t really have a software
synth that I REALLY love.
When I started out as a teenager it was pretty much just as all this VST stuff kicked off, early 2000's like. Back then I remember religiously buying Future Music and Computer Music, and I'd just pour over all of the adverts and reviews, constantly wishing I had the cash for all this hardware. You know the drill. We've all been there.
Over the years, I got more and more into guitar and drums. Most of my production and songwriting for the last 16 years has been based in that world. Synths were always a little bit of an after thought.
In 2022 I got myself a Novation Summit, Bass Station II, Waldorf Iridium, and a Hydrasynth. There was quite a bit of overlap between the Hydrasynth and Iridium, so I sold the Hydrasynth.
So cut to today and I'm looking at my soft synth collection, and it is paltry!![:help:]( "Help")
I've just installed Vital to give it a go.... but what other synths out there are ... ahem... vital for me to check out???
