So recently bought Falcon 3 from UVI, which is great and deep - and got the $100 voucher.
I'm wondering what to get from UVI to combine with Falcon.
There are all the preset banks which i'm not sure i need.
I'm looking at the Vintage Vault 4. I understand there's a spring sale coming and it may be discounted and i can get to use the $100 voucher as well - which could bring me to a reasonable price.
As for software vst's emulating vintage gear - i have Arturia V collection 9, IK Multimedia Syntronik 2 (which was on sale this year so i got it for $39), and also have Komplete Ultimate 14CE.
I'm wondering if this will be completely overkill or not.
On the one hand - these are sample based instruments (Vintage Vault 4, that is) which are static and limited, and sort of snapshots of states the synths were captured in.
On the other hand perhaps combined with the Falcon engine it can give deeper sound design options - although some things are not modulatable. For example a sync sweep or PWM. Falcon does, however, allow to use these as sound sources on which i could use other filters, step sequencers and so on.
But as i said - i already have 2 very large vintage synth emulations collections.
If not Vintage Vault 4 - what else would you go for (from UVI) as an addition, which i can use the Falcon engine as further sound shaping tool?
